High Country Salmon fillets are fresh harvested and individually vacuum packed for trouble-free storage in your fridge or freezer. They are skin-on, bone-in fillets. Actual weight will be within 100g of size ordered.
All products are shipped overnight with ice gel packs to keep the salmon chilled during the courier delivery. Freight is now charged by weight. Please see our Shipping Rates page for more information.

As a Korean who managed a Japanese sushi restaurant and eminently familiar with the critical temperature variable of raw fish, sashimi, my first time purchase came with natural concerns (and nervousness, born of a previous negative experience elsewhere, entirely dependent on the variables of transportation logistics and consignment temperature).
These concerns emerged here because I was unable to ascertain the anticipated arrival time of the consignment. High Country Salmon staff generously furnished a check on the expected delivery time, which was reassuring. The consignment arrived close to 11am in cool and satisfactory condition.
Hi AJ - a One-Star review! All of our product is well packed with ice for overnight delivery around New Zealand. You requested a delivery date of today, 30th September, so your product was processed, packed and collected by the courier yesterday afternoon, as per your email notification. We've just done a trace on your order and it is shoiwng as out for delivery. We even talked with the driver and he's expecting to drop to you around 11am. As you requested and as planned! Please do temperature check the product if you have any concerns - we have rigourously tested our delivery times and temperatures and our products are well looked after by our Couriers. We actually pack for two days delivery in the rare case there is a delay. If ever there are any problems, which with the volume we send does happen very occassionally, we work very closely with our customers and the couriers to resolve.
However, AJ, I do understand your trepidation and concerns - especially when purchasing perishable product from us for the first time - and your review has prompted us to go over our online shop and ensure we have clearly communicated that our nationwide delivery is overnight.
