Our People

Established in 2000 by Margaret and Richard Logan, we are the smallest of the two farms raising salmon on the hydro canals surrounding Twizel. Richard was a keen angler and it was his passion for fishing that provided the inspiration, motivation and drive needed to make the farm a reality. While Richard's focus was on the salmon and raising them, Margaret put her energy into creating a small floating shop to sell the fresh salmon direct to passing trade. As the reputation for premium salmon grew, a cafe evolved, and the farm increased its production to 200 tonne of salmon per year.

The next generation

joined the business with Margaret and Richard's son Peter taking the helm in 2012. After his unexpected death in 2019 on Aoraki Mt Cook, we are now steered by their daughter Jeni as Managing Director.  Together with Margaret on the Board, Karl French as Head of Sustainable Farming and Gary Clarke as Director of Food & Beverage, they are in control of the successful operation of the business.   Margaret enjoys the involvement of her grandchildren - and great-grandchildren - in the family business.
