Lemon and Dill Salmon Burgers

500g salmon mince
1 egg
1/2 C breadcrumbs
1 t garlic, crushed
Zest of 1 lemon
2 T lemon juice
2 T fresh dill, chopped
1 T wholegrain mustard
1 t Worcestershire sauce
1/2 t smoked paprika
1 t salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 T olive oil
4 Hamburger buns
Mayonnaise or tartare sauce
Sliced lettuce
Sliced tomato
Sliced red onion


  1. In a large bowl, combine salmon mince, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, lemon zest and juice, dill, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt and pepper.  Mix until combined then shape into 4 burgers using wet hands.  Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to set.
  2. In a medium-large frying pan, heat the olive oil.  Add salmon burger patties and cook over a medium heat for 3-4 minutes until golden.  Flip over and cook on the other side for a further 3-4 minutes.
  3. Serve patties in hamburger buns with mayonnaise or tartare, lettuce, tomatoes and red onion (or use your favourite burger ingredients).
